Teak Master was founded in 1997 when I noticed a void in the teak furniture industry in the field of professional care and maintenance. At the time, I was personally managing a high end retail store for several years selling designer outdoor furniture brands such as Brown Jordan and Gloster. Our clients would naturally ask if there was a service to restore and maintain their outdoor teak furniture .I contacted the teak furniture manufacturers and the representatives of their companies and no one could point me in the right direction. I was determined to find a source for our clients.

When I had exhausted my research on finding a professional teak furniture restoration company, I turned to my father for advice. From a very young age I can remember working with my father’s company painting homes and commercial buildings, and restoring front doors, garage doors, and decks. My father never compromised preparation and the quality of the products he used. His philosophy was simple, do things the right way the first time. He recommended restoring teak furniture the same way he restored all other wood surfaces, with intensive preparation and quality products.

I began to recommend my father’s painting company to our clients when they inquired about teak furniture restoration and maintenance. Word spread like wildfire that there was a company that had knowledge and experience restoring and maintaining outdoor teak furniture. We were convinced there was a need for a professional company to restore and maintain outdoor teak furniture. I began to work alongside my father restoring teak furniture and soon joined him to form our company Teak Master Inc. We began receiving referrals from teak furniture manufacturers, high end retail stores, designers, and contractors from San Francisco to San Diego.

Over the years, our wealth of knowledge about wood led us to expand our services to include restoring and maintaining all exterior wood surfaces. For over fourteen years Teak Master Inc. has been the premier exterior wood restoration company in the country.
